The results of researches in the field of the using X-ray in all over the world have been successful. The main subject which needs more investigation and have been allocated part of the researches in most of the Atomic Research Institutes, is the research about possible harms of irradiated food for human beings, base on the researches, using irradiation for inhibition of sprouting and preservation of potato is recommended by the group members of scientist (IAEA) in 1976, for developing countries which have faced food deficiency. (1) Regarding to ever-increasing of population in Iran, to prevent the food wastage a comprehensive study about production, harvesting and preservation of potato was carried out in 1976. (2) Following to that an irradiation experiment of potato for inhibiting of sprouting was carried out in Iran. (3) Then the vitamin changes in potato induced by X-ray were studied. In this experiment 60 gamma radiation doses of 10, 12 and 15 krad for two varieties of potatoes were tried. The tubers were monthly determined for the following: Ascorbic acid, Thiamin -and Riboflavin. The result of this experiment pre as follow: Different doses of gamma ray and preservation times are effective 0Ill the amount of potatoes vitamin C, and this effect in both cases would be a losses about 27 to 50%; also they are effective on the thiamin and, riboflavin content of potato. This effect causes losses less in-comparison with vitamin C.

Mycotic aneurysm could be divided into three types according to their etiology: septic-embolic, cryptogenic and traumatic type. During the period from 1972 to 1974 two cases of mycotic aneurysms have been seen at the Ohio Valley Medical Center - one following a sub acute bacterial endocarditic and another one was two years following surgery for aortofemoral bypass graft. The clinical course of both patients is discussed. The prognosis of mycotic aneurysm is always fatal without surgical intervention. Mycotic aneurysm is a rare entity which is occasionally reported in the literatures. As far as these case reports go the pathology could be divided into three categories according to their etiology, even though the pathology is essentially the same. 1. The septic-embolic or primary mycotic aneurysm in which the aneurysm is secondary to the sepsis which settles in the wall of the artery and destroys the lamina media and finally developing an aneurysm. This type of mycotic aneurysm is, usually seen in any type of septicemia. 2. The cryptogenic or secondary, mycotic aneurysm in which the sepsis takes place in the pra-existing aneurysm of the arterial wall usually due to arteriosclerosis disease. 3. Traumatic or mixed type mycotic aneurysm in which the sepsis and arterial wall damage takes place at the same time.

Serum Ferritin (SF) levels in 734 seven-year-old children was measured by a radioimmuno assay method, and its possible relation-ship with hemoglobin, hematocrit and MCHC was investigated. The results showed there was positive correlation between SF with hemo-globin, hematocrit and MCHC values.
