The population of this study was the young men and women that were imminent of marriage, refereed to marriage offices as well as hygienic and therapeutic centres in Hamadan city. This was a cross sectional descriptive study and has been done by using questionnaire and face-to-face interview. In general, the majority of the cases (86, 4%) were asking for two or less children. There was a significant relation between the number of asked children and the birth place, i.e. couples who were born in villages were asking for more children than the cases that were born in cities. Also educated men and women were asked for fewer children. The results of the present work have showed that there was no significant relationship between the number of desired children and marriage age.Files | ||
