    <abstract locale="en_US">Fungal elements of urinary tract were investigated in two groups of the individuals, either with major underlying illnesses, or without any diseases. Diabetes mellitus was recognized as the most important underlying diseases in this study and Candida glabrata was the commonest species occurring in high numbers in urine Specimens of debilitated patients.</abstract>
